The annual Quest for the Chamber Cup Golf Outing is an opportunity to play golf with area leaders. Interact with existing and prospective area business leaders outside of the office in a fun environment. A portion of the proceeds supports Chamber scholarships for entrepreneurial high school students participating in the WCU Business Idea Competition.

Melissa Hawes, CPA - President & Founder of Miles Financial Management, Inc.

 

Melissa Hawes established Miles Financial Management, Inc. in 2003 one year after her son Mile was born.

 

Melissa has over 20 years of public accounting (Urbach, Kahn & Werlin PC, NY) and private industry experience (KeyCorp, NY & OH, Vanguard Group PA). Her expertise is in tax, accounting operations, business growth strategy, and government compliance.

 

She is certified in PA and NY and served on the IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee in Washington D.C.

 

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, and CPA Connect. Melissa also maintains accreditation as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

 

Melissa is currently board chair for Daemion Counseling Center, Berwyn PA, www.daemioncounseling.org; a member of Chester County 100 Women Who Care, www.100womenwhocarecc.org; and volunteer for Bridge of Hope, www.bridgeofhopeinc.org .

 

Melissa is a mother, and she believes in supporting other women with families. During tax time Melissa hires qualified female accountants to perform tax services on flexible schedules.
