A Mindful River Sojourn

FRIDAY: July 29, 2016:

10:00 am-1:00 pm            PERSONAL HIKING & BIKING AVAILABLE FOR EARLY ARRIVALS.

If you want to take some time on your own before check in at 1PM, please choose from the following:

  • >>Neal Thorpe Trail<<
    • Easy/Intermediate hiking trail that follows a beautiful small gorge upstream.
    • View slideshow.
  • >>Schuylkill River Trail<<
    • Intermediate/Advanced biking trail that parallels the Schuylkill River.
      • Bikers are encouraged to bring their own bike and helmet. Bike rentals are available on a limited first come first serve basis. Please email illumanofpa@gmail.com for more info.

LUNCH ON OWN: We recommend Fitzwater Station for it’s beautiful canal view but there are plenty of options in town.

Illuman of PA announces their first annual fundraising event: A Mindful River Sojourn. This event is a peaceful 3-day camping, hiking, biking and kayaking exploration of the Schuylkill River between Pottstown and Phoenixville, PA. The event is open to both Men and Women. Families and children over age 12 are welcome. There are two participation options: kayaking and hiking and/or biking. Hikers and bikers will be grouped into small groups based on ability level and/or desired length of ride. Yoga sessions will also be offered for all levels throughout the weekend. We can accommodate 50 kayakers and 50 non-kayakers for a total of 100 people at the campsite.

Cost: 

$300.00 for Kayak Rental & Camping. Includes campsite fee (Rest Rooms & covered Dining Pavillion), all meals, kayak rental, personal floatation device (PFD), shuttle bus to River Launch & River Safety Guides.

$260.00 for Kayakers with their own kayak/canoe & Camping. Includes campsite fee (Rest Rooms & covered Dining Pavillion), all meals, shuttle bus to River Launch & River Safety Guides. Must bring your own personal floatation device (PFD).

$195.00 for Biking/Hiking & Camping. Includes campsite fee (Rest Rooms & covered Dining Pavillion), all meals. Interested in renting a bike? Please email illumanofpa@gmail.com for more details.

Limited Space: We are limited to 50 people on the river and we anticipate that this event will sell out.
