Institute for Board Trustees

The Institute for Board Trustees overviews what every nonprofit board member needs to know. The 2019 workshop will cover topics such as Board Leadership: Lessons Learned; Board Responsibilities & Recruitment,  Fundraising Plans: Putting It All Together; High Impact Board Stewards: Excellence and Outcomes, IRS 990, Audits, Internal Controls & GuideStar; Legal Obligations of Nonprofit Boards; Major Gifts Conversations; Planned Gifts to Secure Your Nonprofit’s Future; Planned Gifts & Estate Attorneys;  Strategic Planning and more.  1 Board Member: $50; Team of 2: $90; Team of 3: $120; Team of 4: $160; Team of 5+++++: $200; Staff attending without a Board Member: $250

 (Fee includes continental breakfast, box lunch & handouts)

Parking:

Option #1 – Free parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the Sharpless Street Parking Garage, located at the intersection of Sharpless and Church streets.

Option #2 – “Pay As You Stay” Street Parking with meters will also be available but please make sure to follow payment options to avoid tickets.

Join us for a tour of exemplary clean energy projects at our schools, universities, businesses, farms, non-profits, municipalities and homes. Be inspired at this FREE event that features self-guided tours and open house tours across the county. Kick off events will provide an orientation and suggested route. The homes, businesses, and public places you visit will demonstrate green technologies such as solar, wind, geothermal, green design, energy efficiency, electric vehicles and more. Learn how your home, workplace, local schools and municipal facilities can be part of the transition to cleaner, safer renewable energy.
