Creating a COVID-19 Safety Plan

Creating a COVID-19 Safety Plan

Creating a COVID-19 Safety Plan
A critical first-line of defense in any OSHA or DOH Investigation.

As the PA Department of Health (DOH) and OSHA receive complaints from employees about companies that are not following recommended safety procedures, they initiate investigations.  The first thing these agencies request is a company’s Safety Plan for protecting employees and the public during the pandemic and proof that employees have been trained in safety protocols.

Additionally, a well-written Safety Plan is a valuable tool in defending any wrongful injury lawsuit filed by an employee who claims his/her COVID-19 was the result of negligence on the part of his/her employer.

This presentation is designed to provide you with information to prepare your own Safety Plan.

Small Business Health Insurance Cost Saving Strategies

Small Business Health Insurance Cost Saving Strategies

My Benefit Advisor is the Employee Benefits Consulting Partner of the Chamber, and they have focused on several exclusive solutions throughout the past 6 months that directly address cost savings for our membership.

Here are just a few of the exclusive Chamber programs My Benefit Advisor can discuss with you:

  • United Healthcare and Aetna Level Funding Program: Chamber members receive an additional 2% discount on top of potential lower cost self-funded plan for your group. Costs for these programs are estimated to be 10%-15% less than traditional benefit plans.

  • My Benefit Advisor PEO (Professional Employer Organization): This program enables you to consolidate your business model into one platform with reduction of health insurance costs as much as 15% for a fully-insured traditional plan using United Healthcare's network.

  • Cost Containment with an ICHRA: If you are facing a difficult decision regarding medical coverage during COVID-19, an Individual Coverage HRA (ICHRA) may be an alternative to discontinuing your current group health plan. An ICHRA allows employers to contain benefit costs in this environment while also maintaining coverage options to help you attract and retain employees.

  • Alternatives to COBRA: Many people have been affected by the economic impact of COVID-19 and may be at risk by not having insurance or facing expensive COBRA premiums. We have a team of experts who specialize in helping people secure individual health insurance at affordable costs.
